We are delighted to announce that after an inspection in summer 2024 Perryfields has achieved an Outstanding judgement from Ofsted. This is the fifth in a row which is an achievement that the school is very proud of.
Headteacher Pete Hines, who received on OBE in 2023’s New Years Honours list for his services to education, is delighted with the most recent report as it ‘truly recognises the fantastic teamwork of the staff and the role they play in re-engaging pupils in education and turning around their lives.’
Some of the Ofsted quotes include:
- ‘The school never loses sight of its core purpose to support and nurture pupils so they can return to their mainstream setting, or if required, a more specialist provision.’
- ‘The high number of pupils who successfully transfer back into their home school is proof that the school achieves this goal.’
- ‘Leaders and staff work well with the home school and external agencies so that needs can be identified accurately and appropriate support can be put into place.’
